Feratum Film Festival, is a festival that in its early years has been considered one of the most important in Latin America, has an official competition of Mexican, Latin American and international films, in which it awards the prizes: “Bronze Nosferatu”, “Torre Feratum” and “Alucarda” medal; presents exclusive premieres with the presence of directors, producers and actors, it is a meeting point for people from the fantastic film industry and a platform for the launch of new creators.

The festival was attended by established directors and producers such as: Mick Garris, Brian Yuzna, Ze do Caixao, LIoyd Kaufman, Bertha Navarro, Carlos Carrera, Alfonso Arau, among others. In seven years, more than 700 films have been programmed, of which 102 have been exclusively released for Mexico; round tables, master classes, workshops and alternative activities are held.

Every year it brings together more than thirty thousand spectators, it is also known for “The March of the Beasts”, one of the most anticipated activities of the festival, bringing together more than eight thousand people characterized by walking through the streets. Its main headquarters are located in the magical town of Tlalpujahua Michoacán, with extensions in Mexico City and Morelia.

This year it opens its headquarters in Pátzcuaro, Michoacán, although due to the pandemia by COVID-19 its format is hybrid, that is, with some limited face-to-face and virtual functions through various platforms.
