This small temple is dedicated to the Virgin of Guadalupe and its 16th century façade features a Renaissance style.
On the main altar there is an excellent carved wooden front with gilded details. It also has other altars from the 19th century.
It was built by the indigenous people of the region to indoctrinate and give the sacraments to the inhabitants of that time and the same indigenous people were in charge of cleaning it, keeping it in good condition and decorating it with what was necessary.
The objective of this hospital was similar to that of the Santa Marta hospital, founded by Don Vasco de Quiroga, and was, in turn, later imitated by the Santa Catarina hospital, founded by the indigenous people in the San Agustín neighborhood.
