Urandén or Los Urandenes

A group of three islands located south of Lake Pátzcuaro.

One of the main activities in the region is butterfly net fishing.

Various festivities take place on the dock, which are part of the islands. For example, the Virgin of Guadalupe is celebrated every January 12, canoeing competitions are held during Holy Week, and dances and the decorated arch contest are held on the Day of the Dead.

Recently, following the desilting of the lake to help restore Lake Pátzcuaro, several springs were uncovered, which has allowed the environment to recover and has given a new impetus to sporting and traditional activities.
